Focus.aero selects Avsoft for ATR and CRJ online pilot training
Focus.aero, a Danish ATO that offers type rating and differences training for the ATR42/72 series aircraft, as well as training for the CRJ series aircraft, has selected Avsoft International to provide online pilot training. Focus.aero is using several Avsoft aircraft systems CBT courses, including the ATR 72-500, ATR 72-600, CRJ-200, CRJ-700, and CRJ-900, all of which are being delivered through Avsoft’s LMS.
Captain Michael Thomsen, Chief Flight Instructor stated: “After establishing our Focus Training to supplement our ferry and maintenance check business, we needed a high-quality CBT based technical training course to supplement the classroom training. The three owners of Focus Aero and Focus Training all had previous experience with Avsoft Computer Based Training during ATR42/72 and Canadair CRJ200 type rating training. We have all been impressed with the quality of the CBT. This combined with the relatively low cost of getting started made it an easy choice.”
Avsoft’s proprietary Learning Management System (avLMS) is being used to deliver the ATR and CRJ aircraft systems CBT courses and provide comprehensive reporting facilities to administer all aspects of the courses and exam results to satisfy regulatory requirements.
Avsoft’s library of online aircraft systems courses and general subject courses can be delivered on any LMS. This allows organizations with an existing LMS solution to use Avsoft courses without having to migrate data or learn a new LMS system.
