Overview
Avsoft’s Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) Course explores:
- weather-induced upsets: icing, turbulence, and thunderstorms
- system-induced upsets: flight control failure and autopilot failure
- pilot-induced upsets: lack of monitoring, overadjustment, spatial disorientation, and incapacitation
- energy states of an aircraft; aerodynamics: including aircraft forces, center of gravity, lift vs. AOA, AOA vs. airspeed, lift over drag curve, and load factor
- aircraft handling at high altitude
- upset assessment: energy level, situation, and communication
- stall recognition and recovery
- nose high and nose low upsets.
