Avsoft Partners with Sky Lease Cargo to Deliver Newly Released B747-400 Freighter Course
Avsoft has created a Boeing B787-8 Aircraft Systems course. This online pilot training course includes 24 modules and covers all major aircraft systems, including components, operations, controls, and indications associated with each system. The course covers both the GEnx-1B and RR Trent 1000 engine types. In addition, there is an option for metric or imperial units of measurement.
Avsoft developed the B787-8 aircraft systems course to meet the training requirements for all aviation regulatory authorities. The course’s 24 modules include: Air Conditioning, Aircraft General, APU, Autoflight, Brakes, Communications, Crew Alerting System (including GPWS and TCAS), Doors, Electrical, Emergency Equipment, Engines (Genx), Engines (RR Trent), Fire Protection, Flight Controls, Flight Instruments (including PFD, HUD, ND, EFB, and ISFD), FMS, Fuel, Hydraulics, Ice and Rain Protection, Landing Gear, Lighting, Navigation (including ADRS, GPS, IRS, Radio Navigation, Transponder, and WXR), Oxygen, and Pressurization.
With almost 2,000 pages and over 3,500 detailed, full color technical illustrations, this course provides comprehensive coverage of the aircraft, walking users step-by-step through complex systems and operations of the B787-8.
This course delivers around 28 hours of instruction, suitable for ground school study towards a Type Rating, as well as for periodic Recurrent training. Each of the modules concludes with a test, and when the course is successfully completed, a certificate is generated. Airlines and ATOs have the option of editing the test questions, as well as creating a final exam.
