NordStar Airlines Selects Avsoft
September 1, 2020
JSC NordStar Airlines, based in Moscow (Domodedovo International Airport) and Krasnoyarsk, Russia, and operating flights to more than 50 destinations in Russia and abroad, has awarded Avsoft International a long-term contract for online pilot training.
NordStar will be using Avsoft’s Boeing 737-300, Boeing 737-800, and ATR 42-500 aircraft systems courses, together with selected general subject courses for training from September 2020. The courses will provide initial as well as comprehensive recurrent pilot ground training.
A key element in the selection of Avsoft is its ability to stream its SCORM course packages to NordStar’s in-house LMS platform and allow integration of the Avsoft courses with the airline’s existing training programme in use by all NordStar pilots for courses, exams and reports documentation for regulatory authority compliance.
Chief of Flight Training department at JSC NordStar Airlines, Pavel Eremin commented:
“For a long time, we have been looking for the possibility of pairing materials of our own design (SCORMs), which are mandatory according rules of Russian Aviation Authority, with materials, which are part of EASA and FAA pilots training. Now recurrent training program looks very harmonious and extremely convenient for pilots, instructors, government officials, all in one place.”
